Plot:

As James Cawley has just announced on Facebook, Star Trek Phase II's latest episode will be officially released on April 5, 2012. You will be able to download that episode from this website on that date. The exact time has yet to be announced.

We have been working hard to get this episode ready for release and it will be available from the start as an HD quality download with subtitles in English, German, Italian and possibly additional languages.

Plot:
After being pitted against Kirk in a Klingon version of the “no-win scenario,” Kargh would hunger for the day when he and Kirk would meet for real. His hunger is soon satisfied!

Starring John Carrigan, Anne Carrigan and James Cawley, the vignette features appearances by Larry Nemecek, Jeff Quinn, Julienne Irons, Andy Bray, and Paul R. Sieber. Written by Erik Korngold, directed by Erik J. Goodrich, and with updated VFX by Pony R. Horton and Tobias Richter of The Light Works.

Originally filmed in 2005, this vignette is only made available to fans due to the stalwart perseverance of John Carrigan, with assistance from Graham O’Hare, and Pony R. Horton. John tracked down the original lost footage and made sure scenes that required re-shoots or pickups were done during various other Phase II shoots over time. Post production was supervised rigorously by John and completed in the United Kingdom.

The latest episode of Star Trek Phase II has now been released for download: Enemy Starfleet

Attacked while exploring a new sector of space, Captain James T. Kirk and his crew find themselves thrust in the middle of a war. The USS Eagle, lost eight years before, is now in the clutches of a woman who bends starships and their captains to her will and has been reverse engineered into a fleet that is bent on domination and genocide. The Enterprise may be the only ship able to stop the Peshan homeworld from falling to Alersa and her enemy starfleet

This long awaited action filled episode is now available for download from this mirror in DivX as always. We have provided subtiltes both in English and German for those that need them.

This has to be one of the best episodes of Star Trek released, on a par with World Enough and Time, yet very different.

We are also offering downloads via SugarSync where you will also find additional bonus material.

We are pleased to announce that the final version of Enemy Starfleet, and a pre-release version of Kitumba, are due to be shown at this years FedCon convention to be held in Düsseldorf, this year.

Both episodes are planned to be shown in English with German subtitles.

Visitors of FedCon last year were able to see a pre-release version and we are pleased to announce that the final version will be shown at FedCon this year (a week after the online release).

This long awaited action filled episode will be available for download from this mirror in DivX as always. We expect a massive amount of downloads on release day, as with every episode release.

STAR TREK NEW VOYAGES: PHASE II TO PREMIERE EPISODES AT FEDCON XIX

Cawley Entertainment Company/Retro Film Studios LLC will hold the world premiere of their next two Star Trek: New Voyages/Phase II episodes at Fed Con XIX, being held in Germany April 30 - May 2, 2010.

Named one of the “10 Most Important Star Trek Fans in History”, James Cawley is best known as “Captain Kirk on the Internet”. The creator and Senior Executive Producer of the award winning internet series “Star Trek; New Voyages/Phase II”, and the new “Buck Rogers Begins” internet series, James Cawley was a costumer on TNG, is an expert on recreating both Trek costumes and sets, and appeared in the new Trek movie. In 2008 he won the Golden Icon Award for Best Performance in an Internet Series.

The Child will be showing at 14:00 hrs on Friday, 30 April
James Cawley will be holding a panel afterwards
Enemy Starfleet will be showing at 18:00 hrs just before the opening ceremony.

Plot:
Pursued and damaged by repeated Klingon attacks, the crew of the Enterprise must respond to the distress call from a Federation research ship. In a matter of hours the ship and crew will be consumed by a nearby star and the crew of the Enterprise will be consumed by an mysterious horror that threatens both ships as the Klingons watch and wait.

Tobias Richter, who is well known in Germany for his excellent Star Trek CGI work (FedCon, etc), will be providing the special effects for the upcoming Phase II episode: "The Child".

After seeing the excellent FedCon Film made by Tobias Richter, Peter Walker (Phase II Germany) called Tobias after the FedCon and asked if he would be interested in providing CGI effects for Phase II. Tobias was already familiar with our episodes and said he was interested in helping out. Peter put Tobais in touch with James Cawley resulting in an agreement to create the special effects for "The Child".

We are proud to have Tobias join our team and look forward to seeing some fantastic special effects created for "The Child" - the first German-American co-production for Phase II.

Tobias Richter runs the company: "The Light Works" in Cologne, Germany.

The 2-part episode "Blood and Fire" will be shown at the Herxheimer Science Fiction Days on May 23 at 11:30 am.This 2-part episode will be shown as one 90 minute film, the same version shown recently at FedCon. Please note that part 2 is still a pre-release version where some special effects are incomplete.

When Blood and Fire Part 1 was initially released, on the 20th December, we were unable to provide German subtitles as there was not enough time to prepare them in time.

The long awaited new Star Trek Phase II (previously Star Trek New Voyages) episode “Blood and Fire“ is now online. The episode was filmed in summer 2007.

We are offering the episode in DivX-format without German subtitles. Subtitles will be released as soon as they are complete.

Plot:
The horrific story finds a battle damaged Enterprise caught between an incurable contagion that threatens to overrun the galaxy, the pull of a dying star, and Klingons poised to attack. Like all of the best Star Trek episodes, “Blood and Fire” finds the Enterprise crew facing their own human fears and failings as they have to weigh the costs and decide how much personal risk to take in order to save the people around them.

Part 2 will be released early in the New Year.

A new 5:35 minute documentary has just been released showing the work on the set while producing the upcoming episode The Child.

This features behind the scenes shots and interviews with James Cawley and others.

The Child is due to be released in late 2009

We were shocked to hear today that Majel Barrett Rodenberry has died at the age of 76. The first lady of Star Trek’ died of leukemia at her home in Bel Air. At her side were her son Eugene ‘Rod’ Roddenberry along with family and friends.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to the CARE Organization or Precious Paws both of which share Roddenberry's love for animals and dedication to animal rescue.

Funeral details are pending and a public memorial will be scheduled sometime after Christmas or in early 2009.

Majel Barrett-Rodenberry was also the computer voice for our episode World Enough and Time. He have therefore placed a memorial on that page.

The Phase II team has struck up quite a relationship with Jon Povill, the writer of "The Child." Jon was never really happy with how his story got revised and realized on TNG. So this is an opportunity to get the story made the way Jon originally wanted it--and he's even directing it.

So, in this case, it's not that we'll get James and Company's unique spin; it's that we'll get the unique spin that Jon Povill the writer had intended in the first place. So how will the story be different? What is it that Jon wanted to say that didn't get said back in TNG? Wait and see....

Star Trek: Phase II's sixth episode launched into production in June, with principle photography taking place from June 15-June 25th at Retro Film Studios in upstate New York. Veteran actress and Star Trek alumni Barbara Luna ("Marlena Moreau" of "Mirror, Mirror") joined the cast of "Enemy: Starfleet" as as a space terrorist that steals a starship and retro-engineers it to create a marauding fleet. "Luna" had this to say about her experience: "...my discovery was that your special love and devotion for Star Trek with a loyalty that lives in your hearts, which gives you a very deep connection to each other, allowing everyone in your presence to feel that joy. ...it is an experience worth treasuring forever..."

The production of the episode, written by prolific Trek novelist Dave Galanter and award winning fanfic writer Patty Wright, was hampered by acts of nature, but Senior Executive Producer James Cawley is thrilled with what was accomplished. "What I'm seeing is flawless: the best we've ever done"

A new 3:44 minute teaser trailer has just been released for the upcoming Star Trek Phase II (aka New Voyages) fan film episode "Blood and Fire" by David Gerrold.

This episode was an original script for season 1 of TNG, and approved by Gene Roddenberry, but the studios did not make it as the portrayal of gay crew members and AIDS was seen to be too controversial. The story has been rewritten for the Star Trek New Voyages, now renamed to Phase II, fan film series and has received excellent reviews at its preliminary showing at the Shore Leave convention in the USA.

The first episode of this two part story is due to be released online on 20 December 2008.

World Enough and Time has been nominated for the Hugo Science Fiction Awards 2008, in the category "Best Dramatic Presentation (Short Form)", and achieved 5th place at the actual awards!

As this is the German mirror for Star Trek New Voyages and the upcoming Phase II episodes, it makes sense to offer the episodes in the European PAL system with German subtitles.

We have now released PAL (25fps) DivX versions of all existing episodes (except TSAMD 1969) for download from our website.

These versions will work on any DivX (MPEG4) capable DVD player connected to a European TV set (25fps PAL standard). The original NTSC (29.97fps) videos may not work on older European TVs which cannot handle NTSC or PAL60 signals.

These new versions allow German subtitles to be seen on any DVD player or computer (with DivX driver) without any additional settings or software.

The original Star Trek New Voyages pilot episode was only available in a reduced image size of 512x368 until now.

We have now recreated the video file in the standard DivX size of 640x480 to match our other episodes.

We have now also added an additional version with German subtitles added to the picture so that these subtitles can be easily seen when played on a DivX compatible DVD-Player. This version has also been norm converted to the PAL standard at 25 fps, allowing older PAL-only TVs to be used to show this episode.

We are pleased to announce that the German official website for Star Trek New Voyages / Phase II has now been completed and is officially open.

The website initially went online on 24th May and has been under construction since then with daily improvements made to it. During this period, the website has moved from a simple English site to a full German/English website with downloads available for all episodes along with online trailers, background info, images, online help, News,  Media Reports, our eMagazine, Forum and Links page. We have worked hard to make this website worthy of the fine Star Trek episodes made in the USA.

This is the English language RSS Feed, we also have a German feed as well on the German language site.

We are proud to announce the start of the new Star Trek New Voyages / Phase II Germany Website. This website will keep you up to date on events in Germany and is also the place where you can download the episodes in DivX format. It compliments the two existing websites www.trekcon.de and www.startrekphase2.de.vu previously used by the New Voyages team. The website is currently being written and a German version will be available soon.
